July 2022 Furtle - Fettle Those Finishes Update

July Review / Furtle

Archie The Wonder Dog

As defined by Mini Archie, ‘Furtling’ means ‘having a rummage, a delve, a look at the contents of something’. So I have furtled around to see what I have been doing this month and now I’m going to furtle around the blogs of anyone else who links up over at Archie the Wonder Dog!

While the FinishALong organized group was cancelled in 2020 Mini-Archie, one of my favorite online personalities, and his person started hosting a monthly progress link-up: Fettle Those Finishes!

July was full of COVID sick half-days and working partial days then recovering one day at a time. I am so glad to have this hobby and my husband to keep me sane. I am just having fun with all my projects in progress right now. It's so important to keep feeling good about my self and my projects.

How did sewing go?

July Sewing objectives realized and progressed:

1) Jacksonville Modern Quilt Guild July Challenge Block for Donation quilt: Foundation Paper Pieced Pineapple block of white background and a yellow from my stash:

2) Husband's cross body phone pouch (the strap on his prior one broke; better strap design for this one), my original design:

3) My cross body phone pouch out of Tula Pink's Daydreamer fabrics

4) EPP Training Tablerunner - Made progress stitching the glue based hexies using the flatback stitch and SewTites to hold the pieces together. Rows 1 and 2 are sewn together. Row 3 is ready to add. Rows 4 and 5 are in progress.

5) Sewing H.Q! sign has the letter cut outs cleaned up using Fray Check:
