May Review / Furtle
As defined by Mini Archie, ‘Furtling’ means ‘having a rummage, a delve, a look at the contents of something’. So I have furtled around to see what I have been doing this month and now I’m going to furtle around the blogs of anyone else who links up over at Archie the Wonder Dog!

To socialize with my online crafty friends I'm linking up with Mini-Archie, one of my favorite online personalities, and his person for the monthly progress link-up from
Fettle Those Finishes!
Continuing weekly stats here for possibly linking up once a month with Kate at Life In Pieces. My 2021-2024 goal was to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year. 2025 and forward, the goal is any number of minutes in a day for 50% of the year since the puppy is still under 2-years old he's a handful and I want as much time to enjoy him.
- Week 18: 7 of 7 = 100 %
- 73 minutes/day average across 7-days
- Week 19: 7 of 7 = 100 %
- 57 minutes/day average across 7-days
- Week 20: 7 of 7 = 100 %
- 158 minutes/day average across 7-days
- Week 21: 7 of 7 = 100 %
- 88 minutes/day average across 7-days
- Week 22: 7 of 7 = 100 %
- 82 minutes/day average across 7-days
- May 31 of 31 = 100 %
- 2026: 148 of 151 = 98 %
May has flown by so quickly. The dogs and sewing and time with my husband are all balms to my soul.
Focus continues slowly on my projects planned in 2026 see my Furtle planning post

Projects Half Done Progress update:
There were 53 projects already started before January 1, 2026 (up from 52 in 2025). The below screenshot of my projects from the spreadsheet provided (and a little expanded) by QuiltingGail is my 'official' list with reference numbers used throughout the year.
As of May 31st, 7 projects have been completed (Blue Highlight), 2 UFO's and 5 new projects. 0 projects completed in May (Green Highlight on completion Date), 0 UFO's and 0 new projects. 5 projects progressed in May (Pink Highlight), 2 UFO's and 3 new projects.
How did sewing go?
May Milestone Completed:
1) While it wasn't a full project, I did manage to complete a UFO Milestone to submit to my guild's monthly challenge. Couched Alphabet sampler page is sewn and pressed which removes the Frixion pen marks. 2025 Embroidery 101 Sampler Book is 2026 UFO 53 with the Alphabet page completed in 4-hours and 57-minutes out of the 17-hours and 55-minutes spent on the entire Embroidery 101 class so far.
1) Moon Garden Smitten2 (2026 UFO 7): Month 6 fully attached and Block 7A is more than half assembled. Pink Door Fabrics’ Moon Garden Smitten 2 is 2026 UFO 7, Month 6 in progress for 41-hours and 47-minutes and Month 7 in progress for 13-hours and 56-minutes out of 262-hours and 21-minutes on the entire quilt top.

2) I was hoping to have my primary project completed by the end of May, but the custom quilting and thread burying is taking longer than I expected. I am celebrating completing the right-hand side of the yellow line quilting; 32 of 51 lines are done (63%). After the yellow lines are done, there's 76 Triangles and probably 51 Blue lines which will only be on the one side so should be easier to complete. Miniature Tumbling Triangles is 2026 Project 6 in progress for 53-hours and 38-minutes estimated to be 72% complete.
3) Watched all the AQS Sew Along videos for the Honey V Revival Sew A Long which is 2026 Project 8 in progress for 2-hours and 6-minutes. I'm looking forward to working on this experiment of Complementary Color fabrics from my stash:
4) When preparing for leading a Sister's Common Thread Iron Caddy workshop, I pulled out fabric to make my own travel iron sized caddy. No photos right now other than my own example full size. Iron Caddy Jr. is 2026 Project 10 without any time tracking yet.
