15 Minutes To Stitch 2021 - Week 23

I loved participating in Kate's Life in Pieces 15 Minutes to Stitch since 2020 and am a fan of her blog. She's continuously hosted since 2011!

My 2021 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year.

  • Week 23: 6 of 7 = 86 %
    • 81 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • May: 25 of 31 = 81 %
  • June: 5 of 6 = 83 %
  • 2021: 134 of 157 = 85 %
Loving life these days. Got some great sewing time in this weekend. Making strides to get the things I want done.

So, how did the sewing go?

Top items with progress:
1) Geo Grid - 30 purple Blocks for the Guild Exchange to be turned in at the July 6th Guild Meeting. After receiving the newly ordered purple and Kona White background fabrics, the yardage has been cut in strips, The long strips are sewn together and sub cut into pieces which still need to be pressed before the blocks can be assembled. These blocks can be

2) Geo Grid - 12 different color Bonus Blocks to make my quilt the size I want. The fabric strips have been selected and are ready to be cut:

3) Cheerful quilt supplies, need to cut all the pieces as instructed in preparation for the Guild Class next Saturday, June 12th. So far the centers and cornerstones have been cut plus two of ten colors. Still to cut 8 colors and the background.

4) For the Guild's Birthday party in August one of the fun games is a block lottery. For each block submitted, the guild members receive a ticket in the drawing. This year, the theme is I-Spy at the beach. The focus fabric is a Hexagon surrounded by triangles. Heather Ross' Malibu fabrics have some really cute options. Here's my hexagon with the provided triangles:

  1. You've done well with finding time to stitch the last month. You've done a lot of fabric cutting, that's the part I don't like doing all at once. Enjoy your stitching time. You've got some great fabric combinations to play with.
