15 Minutes To Stitch 2021 - Week 49

I loved participating in Kate's Life in Pieces 15 Minutes to Stitch since 2020 and am a fan of her blog. She's continuously hosted since 2011!

My 2021 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year.

• Week 49: 7 of 7 = 100 %
• 92 minutes/day average across 7-days
• November: 29 of 30 = 96%
• December 5 of 5 = 100%
• 2021: 301 of 339 = 89 %

Using the Abraham Hicks YouTubes and paradigm, I have come to terms with my increased duties at work. And I am feeling so much better about myself. Hubby and the dogs and I have had a good solid week at home before the Holiday prep and parties start.

Taking out one dog at a time or with Osky on leash is working great. And Kipper's ear treatments are going well, 5th of the 9-weeks yeast infection treatment for deep in his ears. He's responding well to the treatment and I'm so glad it only has to be applied once a week. We do it after his weekly bath on Sundays. 

So, how did the sewing projects go?

Top items with progress:

1) Happy Go Lucky Unicorns quilt purchased in 2016 (FAL #83) quilt and pillow case are completed. Gracie said everything passed inspection. I've also soaked them for preventing bleeding and washed. The quilt is now ready to head home, but it will have to wait until after next weekend so I can enjoy sharing it during 2 guild meetings show and tell.

2) Honey Bee Quilters Guild held the annual Elfin Magic workshop remaining projects not yet done:

2.a) COVID Card Vinyl Pouch - Completed!

2.b) Phone clutch - On Hold. The binding piece in my kit was not long enough to complete, but one of the workshop hostesses will bring more to the December 7th meeting:

3) String and Story Free Motion Quilting Academy

Different basting sprays to test:

1. S&S HAK Flour paste basting spray with cheap Vodka
2. S&S HAK Flour paste basting spray with isopropyl alcohol
3. Washable Glue diluted with water
4. Washable Glue diluted with cheap Vodka
5. Washable Glue diluted with isopropyl alcohol

It's time to start pushing forward with new motifs.

Both the String and Story homemade basting sprays diluted with either Isopropyl Alcohol or cheap Vodka stayed together nicely!

4) Assembling Geo Grid Quilt from Guild Exchange Blocks (FAL #133) has only 3 more row seams to sew the top together. Blocks were organized on the design wall:

While the seams don't nest everywhere, I've decided to press the block seams left and right in alternating rows. 

5) JAX MQG Donation block will be one of the next focus project - Black & White and focus color fabrics selected for the Easy Breezy 6" block. The blue fabric pieces have been cut. The Black, White & Gray fabrics have been selected.

6) JAX MQG Exchange Gift - Making a Christmas Candy bag pouch.

7) Honeybees Exchange Gift - Making a Christmas Candy bag pouch.

Updating Mini Archie's Fettle Those Finishes! to continue my focus for the Fourth Quarter of 2021.
