15 Minutes To Stitch 2020 - Week 48

I loved participating in Kate's Life in Pieces 15 Minutes to Stitch in 2019 and am a fan of her blog. She's hosting again for 2020

My 2020 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year.
  • Week 48: 6 of 7 = 86 %
    • 62 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • November: 26 of 29 = 90 %
  • 2020: 278 of 334 = 83 %
This week's progress has continued focusing on the top 4 Fettle those Finishes & Sticky Prod Along projects.

Work was very busy for 3-days with a little leaving early on Wednesday afternoon. Thanksgiving was a very socially distanced affair in a friends' yard just 4 of us. It was lovely. Since she has 3 kids, she felt like we were her stand-ins family so she wasn't as lonely. We haven't eaten out of our house since early March so it was an unusual experience. I did a lot of cooking and cleaning this week so the sewing time was on the shorter side. And I was enjoying watching movies with my husband and not leaving the living room to go and cut fabric.

So, how did the sewing go this week?

Top items with progress:
1) JAX MQG Gift Ornament before December meeting. Flying Geese in progress using Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Wing Clipper I ruler

2) Gift Blocks for family. HST bows ready for trimming then sew into a row and attach to the Gift Boxes

3) First of the Journey2Nebula projects to catch-up: Seaside Tablerunner. Since the projects are progressive in skills, I decided to get back to the first one and get it done first. This will go on the Living Room glass table under a glass cut bowl wedding gift from over 20-years ago. Quilt top is together and ready for sandwich and quilting. Purchased a Fat Quarter pack of pinks that included the perfect one to be a backing

4) Second of the Journey2Nebula projects to catch-up: Rock Candy, #4 in the series. Given the success of sewing Seaside together, I decided to go for sewing all the previously cut pieces into the Hexagonal Table Topper. So far all my wedges are sewn. Next up is assemble the top center. Then add borders. Julie Herman's patterns, rulers, and videos have been super helpful showing every step clearly.

  1. Your Seaside table runner looks great and your Rock Candy project is stunning. Hope you were able to get in lots of stitching time this week. My week was a bit of bust all around, my apologies for being so tardy on blog follow ups from last week. Happy Stitching.

    1. Thank you so much, Kate. This week has been less sewing productive. Maybe next week will be more. No worries on the delay, the blog continues....
