15 Minutes To Stitch 2020 - Week 46

I loved participating in Kate's Life in Pieces 15 Minutes to Stitch in 2019 and am a fan of her blog. She's hosting again for 2020

My 2020 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year.
  • Week 46: 5 of 7 = 71 %
    • 43 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • November: 13 of 15 = 87 %
  • 2020: 265 of 320 = 83 %
This week's progress has continued focused on 3 projects. Except for the 8.5-hours away from home on Saturday afternoon/evening when 14-month-old Whippet, Osky, and I went to straight racing practice at a Horse rehab center 2-hours from my house. He got a single practice run, doing what Whippets were bred to do, chase the prey. In this case the prey was a white plastic bag on a string pulled just ahead of the dog so he chases after it. Whippets can run 35 miles per hour. In the US (in general), it is illegal to use your dog to kill hunted animals so our dogs only get to chase plastic bags. Also, there is NO betting or you get thrown out of the sport. These dogs LOVE to run. They are born to do it. These are our family members and well cared for. We are all dedicated to the breed and have a very tight knit community. I am blessed to have these people and their dogs in my life. Even though I am new to the area, everyone was kind and helpful.

Another new project has been added to the list, a MugRug exchange due for the mid-December local Modern Quilt Guild meeting. I've been monitoring the travels of the secret exchange gift that went to the UK, it's made it's way to the final delivery office by Friday night. Maybe it will make it this week, then the recipient will need to hold it until Saint Nicholas Day (6-December) for the exchange gifts to be opened.

Top 3 items with progress:
1) Both Buff November blocks in Patterns By Jen 2020 Monthly Color Challenge with Oyster and Navy backgrounds. Part of my One Monthly Goal.

2) 2 Gift Blocks for Quilt Guild December Party raffle. Tutorial by Nan Slaughter on her blog Pots and Pins. Part of my One Monthly Goal for November.

3) First of the Journey2Nebula projects to catch-up: Seaside Tablerunner. Since the projects are progressive in skills, I decided to get back to the first one and get it done first. This will go on the Living Room glass table under a glass cut bowl wedding gift from over 20-years ago. Here's the layout and a picture of the rows coming together.
