15 Minutes To Stitch 2020 - Week 47

I loved participating in Kate's Life in Pieces 15 Minutes to Stitch in 2019 and am a fan of her blog. She's hosting again for 2020

My 2020 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year.
  • Week 47: 7 of 7 = 100 %
    • 41 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • November: 20 of 22 = 91 %
  • 2020: 272 of 327 = 83 %
This week's progress has continued focused on 3 projects. Two of them are now complete.

In looking to improve my relationship with my body, this week my inspiration phrase is "I Claim Myself". If you have seen the Beautiful Creatures movie, the main female character refuses to be 'claimed' by either the good or evil sides. She takes control and changes the conditions. She stops being a victim. I feel so much better and powerful by taking control of what I do and who I am.

So, how did the sewing go this week?

Top 3 items with progress:
1) DONE! Both Buff November blocks in Patterns By Jen 2020 Monthly Color Challenge with Navy and Oyster backgrounds. Part of my One Monthly Goal.

2) DONE! 2 Gift Blocks for Quilt Guild December Party raffle. Tutorial by Nan Slaughter on her blog Pots and Pins. Part of my One Monthly Goal for November.

3) First of the Journey2Nebula projects to catch-up: Seaside Tablerunner. Since the projects are progressive in skills, I decided to get back to the first one and get it done first. This will go on the Living Room glass table under a glass cut bowl wedding gift from over 20-years ago. Quilt top is together and ready for sandwich and quilting. Purchased a Fat Quarter pack of pinks that included the perfect one to be a backing

  1. Congrats on a very successful stitching week. Your BOM blocks came out beautifully and so did your guild present blocks. Hope this week is as successful.

    1. Thanks so much, Kate. I'm very pleased with the blocks. I'm struggling getting going on the next steps and projects. Maybe the holiday will give me a push.
