2019 Review
2019 wraps up so many new and different items for me. In addition to sewing there is also moving 950-miles across country to a new home with a sewing headquarters! (see Limitless TV show on Netflix for the reference), and a new puppy (lost my prior heart dog in July). The new Sewing H.Q.! is wonderful with custom IKEA shelves and a new Arrow cutting table. Photos in the November Furtle Post.
Let's look at my 2019 Goals and how it worked out:
- Keep my health as the highest priority
- I did start cooking more at home and some better meals
- Bought a recumbent trike and have started to ride it for my knee
- Easier time going up and down the full set of stairs in the new house, even carrying the puppy
- New home with a sewing studio
- Accomplished! Love the sewing room with custom height cutting table!
- Progress on Quilt UFO's even while moving across the country mid-year
- One completed
- One cancelled
- None added
- Progress on non-quilt UFO's
- One completed
- None added
- Progress on planned quilts with fabric pulled AKA PIGS (Projects in Grocery Sacks) or NYS (Not Yet Started)
- One cancelled
- 13 added
- Progress on planned non-quilts sewing projects with fabric pulled
- Some added
- Increase Quilting skills both Free Motion & Rulers
- No progress - Hand sewing was the area of focus with the moving
- Continue to work on the boundaries in my life so I don't get overwhelmed
- Had more chances to work on this especially towards the end of 2019 with work
- Gain clarity on what I want to accomplish with my blog
- No clear answer yet
I'm very happy with 2019. This is the best place I've ever been. It's all been a wonderful adventure to get here!
