Last 2019 Finish - Dimensional Pinwheel small quilt for donation
This is most likely the final finish for 2019. This was #23 on the 2019 Q4 Proposed Finishes list HERE.
This Dimensional Pinwheels quilt from Laura Ann Coia's SewVeryEasy YouTube video was started October 20, 2018 from the idea on October 30, 2017. The fabric was donated from my Aunt Judi's stash.
September 14, 2019, Jennifer Strauser, Dizzy Quilter posted Accurate and Attractive Machine Binding tutorial which worked perfectly for this project. Here are the close-ups of a corner from the front and back:
The stripe fabric is a shirt fabric and was a little stretchy so it took some extra attention during pressing to keep everything square. Turned out good.
One of the lessons here that I needed to learn again was to always lay out the backing and tape it down flat before sandwiching the layers even when I think it's too small to matter.
It's a relief to have something done that has been on the list for a while. The quilt is going to be mailed to my old quilt guild where my membership ends in 3 days at the end of 2019. It's a good way to close out my membership after moving 950 miles away.
