November-End Furtling

Archie The Wonder Dog

As defined by Mini Archie, ‘Furtling’ means ‘having a rummage, a delve, a look at the contents of something’. So I have furtled around to see what I have been doing this month and now I’m going to furtle around the blogs of anyone else who links up over at Archie the Wonder Dog!

November done already? The time has been flying by and it feels totally out of control. It can be so super terrific when life is making so much merry in your life.

Some highlights included finishing my second #ridiculouslylongFALlist entry of the QuiltSmart Midi Bag from the Eerily Elegant fabric line which was also a #OneThingWithAmyFinish. Sunny & Trixie enjoyed the bag for a little while.

The sewing H.Q.! has all it's furniture including a cutting table.

Adjusted the hanging sleeve on the first quilt and then hang it on the Master bedroom wall behind the bed.

IKEA Rug for the final space that needed one, my office seating area
The dogs and I love how soft this rug is
And the Trixie twin sisters for my friend's granddaughters has been started. Learned how to use Adobe Illustrator AND Cricut Design Space to mark sewing lines and cutting all pieces.

And as of today, last day of the month, both sisters have been started by sewing their ear pieces together.

And of course, PUPPY!!!! Strictly Optimistic Oskar, 'Osky' has come to live with us at the age of 8.5-weeks. I flew in one day on 4 flights. The puppy and I had a good time getting to know each other and getting back home. He's settling in nicely now and we love him. He is still very chewy on us and anything within reach. He's fearless, enthusiastic, & willful. We love him so much!!!

First time puppy is off leash and snoozing on his own dog bed AND it was in my sewing H.Q.!
Osky ripped my jeans in the thigh so I learned how to fix them, It's not pretty, but they are my working at home jeans anyway. A T-shirt where the underarm seam had opened up was also fixed. After the YouTube research, I can continue fixing the other 3 pairs of paints in a mending pile in the near future.

Puppy takes a lot of attention and time. It has slowed down my sewing progress, but I will keep going. It's time to get ready for bed now.

The first week of December I will be traveling for work and am not sure how much stitching will get done. I'm bringing hand sewing with me, but also need to prepare for each day's training sessions that I am leading.

Looking forward into December and trying to finish the #StickyProdAlong2019 progress focus is as follows.
  1. Trixie's twin sisters for Christmas delivery:
    1. Hand sew Trixie's twin sisters and their clothing
    2. Machine sew 2 'sleeping bags' for Trixie's twin sisters
  2. JAX MQG Mug Rug for 12/15 guild meeting
  3. Christmas round Tabletopper as Xmas present for Hubby by 12/24
  4. Hang Parasols on the Living Room wall across from the Front Door
  5. Fix the 3 pairs of pants in the Mending Pile
  6. Finish unpacking and organizing the closet in the Sewing H.Q.!
I love sewing no matter how short of a time I get! How has your month gone?
