Projects Status - Mid-October 2018 - UPDATE2

Status of the October projects identified on 10/15:
  1. QuiltSmart Midi bag with Halloween fabrics
    1. Panels have fabric squares pressed, ready for folding & sewing
    2. Key fob tab cut & pressed, ready for sewing long edge
    3. Strap & lining fabric sitting aside until panels can be measured once sewn
    4. Holding off on cutting fusible fleece until panels can be measured once sewn
  2. Muslin Pillow case for washing purses - DONE!
    1. Boring picture in prior update
  3. Monthly Color Challenge Block - Blue Violet
    1. Identified the specific fabrics for the pieces, ready for pressing & cutting
  4. One Month Goal - Purse Hanger Pouch - DONE!
  5. Dimensional RRQ Dolly Quilt using fabric provided from Aunt's stash fabrics - due by 11/4 Harvest Luncheon
    1. Pulled fabric, ready for pressing & cutting

Steps to continue completing these 5 projects:

  1. Cut Blue Violet pieces
  2. Clip/pin Blue Violet pieces for assembly as leaders/enders
  3. Print Dimensional Dolly Quilt instructions to check off steps
  4. Cut Dimensional Dolly Quilt top pieces
  5. Press triangle Dimensional pieces
  6. Clip Dimensional Dolly Quilt pieces for assembly as leaders/enders
  7. Clean Sewing Machine, change needle, & put in the best color for bag & blue violet, maybe a gray
  8. Use junk piece to start sewing bag folds
  9. Sew bag folds using BV then Dimensional as the L/E
  10. Baste outside sewing lines on each panel
  11. Measure/Cut bag for flannel within basted sewing lines matching sewn bag sides
  12. Sew 'quilting lines' attaching fleece to bag exterior, fusible side out
  13. Measure/Cut bag lining matching sewn bag sides
  14. Iron fabric to strap interfacing, cut straps' fabric & fleece or nylon web
  15. Assemble bag exterior following directions
  16. Assemble bag interior following directions
  17. Finish assembling bag following directions
  18. Using travel iron, press lining to fusible fleece along sides & bottom towards bag corners for easing
    1. Move purse contents from pink purse to bag
    2. Baste pink purse into muslin pillow case
    3. Wash pink purse in next cold wash cycle
  19. Finish Color Challenge if not yet completed
  20. Finish RRQ Dolly Quilt
