15 Minutes To Stitch 2022 - Week 19

I loved participating in Kate's Life in Pieces 15 Minutes to Stitch since 2020 and am a fan of her blog. She's continuously hosted since 2011!

My 2022 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year, same as 2021.

  • Week 19: 7 of 7 = 100 %
    • 65 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • May 8 of 8 = 100%
  • 2022: 108 of 128 = 84 %
Life is so busy but so very much fun. We again found ourselves moving debris this time from the bathroom out of a Bagster, a "cloth" bag in place of a dumpster, to a pile then placing the Bagster in the place the Pod had been last week. Then we quickly put the debris back. And put a tarp over the top to make sure rain doesn't make it into an awful mess. Next week, we are expecting DIY shelves to mount on the wall ourselves. I'll take Friday off from work to help Hubby.

Failed to totally follow Dr. Eric Berg's YouTube advise and got a hot flash again last night after a week off. Sometimes it's hard to stay away from sweet treats.

Below I am sharing my weekly goals that help me focus on a small task to get me breaking down large milestones into small bites.

Sew one thing:
Prior post week: 30 HB Batik Blocks for Exchange - Completed 5/2
This week: Stuff Thomas

So, how did the sewing projects go?

Top items with progress:
1) For the HoneyBeeQuilters Block Exchange due at the June meeting, but I wanted to turn in at the May meeting and did! 30 blocks with my own batik choice for all with Kona Black (same for all blocks in the exchange).

2) Finally got the hemmed brown batik attached to the back of the new dresser with an unfinished back that now sits in the middle of the living room as an end table:

3) Started on the next JAX MQG guild Challenge Block, Red, White & Blue Flying Geese 12.5" square. Designed and piecing started:

4) Continued working on Thomas for Trixie and even used the sewing machine to start on his dungarees too:

Forgot to leave a hole for his tails so I will have to go back and 'fix' it.

    1. Thank you so much, dear friend! My hot flashes have been mild and are only very short. A walk to the bathroom to stand on the cooling tiles for a moment helps and I can return to sleep. Hope you are having some stitching time this week!

    1. Thank you so much! It was a happy stash to use up most of the piece. Now the rest is in the use up scraps pile. Hope you are getting some stitching in!
