March 2022 Furtle - Fettle Those Finishes Update
March Review / Furtle
As defined by Mini Archie, ‘Furtling’ means ‘having a rummage, a delve, a look at the contents of something’. So I have furtled around to see what I have been doing this month and now I’m going to furtle around the blogs of anyone else who links up over at Archie the Wonder Dog!

While the FinishALong organized group was cancelled in 2020 Mini-Archie, one of my favorite online personalities, and his person started hosting a monthly progress link-up: Fettle Those Finishes!
March, where did it go? Work has continued more stressful than anticipated. And I've started walking outside again which is lovely but decreases my sewing time. While I can have smaller sewing goals, that doesn't mean that I don't need to keep having sewing time to be able to feel good.
How did sewing go?
March Sewing objectives realized and progressed:
1. HoneyBeeQuilters 2 Potholders from the Elfin Magic workshop session 2 - this was the March One Monthly Goal and part of Finish A Long numbers 3 and 4:
2) JAX MQG embellished bag - Finished the decorative donation bag for a teacher and I'm loving how it turned out. Made little quilts to attach out of the training blocks from the #jaxmqg #geometricks training session with @brendagaelsmith #serendipitypatchwork
3) Fixed the wear on the Bandannas and Jeans quilt, finishing a spool of red thread:
4) Continued Donation Pocket Quilts for HoneyBee Quilters - 16 more ready:
A little encouraging message card will go in the pocket on the back. The wooden heart is for illustration as there is one wooden heart sewn in the layers of each pocket quilt.
5) Started the March training blocks for Toes In The Sand
6) Started new possible donation quilt blocks for the local Modern Quilt Guild
On a fun note, I had a big birthday and received this adorable Gnome from OhGnomeYouDidNot.
