15 Minutes To Stitch 2022 - Week 15

I loved participating in Kate's Life in Pieces 15 Minutes to Stitch since 2020 and am a fan of her blog. She's continuously hosted since 2011!

My 2022 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year, same as 2021.

  • Week 15: 7 of 7 = 100 %
    • 91 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • April 10 of 10 = 100%
  • 2022: 84 of 100 = 84 %
Trying to find my own inner guidance when everything around me seems to be shifting. Aspects of life I took for granted are not as stable as I had believed them to be and that is okay. Life is so interesting and revealing. I a loving every new aspect of experience.

Last week was harder to get sewing until I ended the week with an extra day off and took advantage. Tuesday night was fun socializing with one my my Quilt Guild monthly meetings.

Below I am sharing my weekly goals that help me focus on a small task to get me breaking down large steps into small bites.

Sew one thing:
Prior post week: Decide on April OMG - Completed 4/5
This week: 2 April BOM of official Toes In the Sand blocks

So, how did the sewing projects go?

Top items with progress:
1) JayBird Quilts BOM Sew Along - Toes in the Sand. I'm making a training block quilt out of Maywood Studios Kimberbell Basics fabrics. Completed 2 Training Blocks and 2 Official Tula Pink fabric blocks for March, Venice Beach:

Completed the first April block which is the training block for Sonoma Coast:

2) Started 2022 Janome Quilt Along, completed 3 Checkboard blocks and selected sashing/binding and backing:

3) For the One Monthly Goal, pulled out the supplies and started stitching the 2 Mug Rugs provided in the Elfin Magic workshop last November.

4) Started cutting fabric for the HoneyBeeQuilters Block Exchange due at the June meeting. I'd like to get it done in April. (No photo)

5) Need to press, cut and hem a piece of fabric for Velcro to the back of a new piece of furniture in our living room

    1. Thanks! Julie really does a good job with the Jaybird patterns and she has a construction tips video in her Facebook group each month of the sew along. I am loving stitching every week and (most of the time) linking up with you.
