15 Minutes To Stitch 2022 - Week 14

I loved participating in Kate's Life in Pieces 15 Minutes to Stitch since 2020 and am a fan of her blog. She's continuously hosted since 2011!

My 2022 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year, same as 2021.

  • Week 14: 7 of 7 = 100 %
    • 65 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • March 21 of 31 = 68%
  • April 3 of 3 = 100%
  • 2022: 77 of 93 = 83 %
I loved my Birthday long weekend, but it was full of lots of things to do. I had a haircut, cleaned under furniture and washed all the dog beds after disassembling them. My Birthday included a Workout with my trainer, long session in the sauna, naps, fantastic lunch made by Hubby and while Hubby was out for Community Band Practice watching on Amazon the movie "Beast Mode" which has an online friend, Beans the Whippet. She was lovely. I have 2 Whippets and really enjoy seeing everything going on with the breed. Spitfire the Champion Dock Diver is half-brother to one of my boys. They are wonderful dogs.

I am sharing my weekly goals that help me focus on a small task to get me breaking down large steps into small bites.

Sew one thing:
Prior post week: Press Toes 4 fabrics for Kimberbell March blocks - Completed 3/29
This week: Decide on April OMG

So, how did the sewing projects go?

Top items with progress:
1) Fixed the 2020 Bandanna and Jeans quilt where some blocks had come loose and the denim had frayed

2) After receiving an adorable Birthday Gnome made by IG:@OhGnomeYouDidNot, I went shopping and found an adorable fabric line 'Savor the Gnoment'. Looking forward to making a few things.

3) Posted the selected fabrics for the 2022 Janome Quilt Along, Enchanted the 2020 Kona Color of the Year and white. The sashing/binding and backing will be picked later.

4) Started the Toes In The Sand training blocks for March. I'll be making 2 since that work with the way the fabric is cut

5) Continued preparing fabrics for the donation pocket quilts, images from before

6) Started cutting and sewing batiks for a donation quilt from the overwhelming stack of 10" squares (no photos)
