January Review / Furtle

Archie The Wonder Dog

As defined by Mini Archie, ‘Furtling’ means ‘having a rummage, a delve, a look at the contents of something’. So I have furtled around to see what I have been doing this month and now I’m going to furtle around the blogs of anyone else who links up over at Archie the Wonder Dog!

January has been so much fun! I have met so many of my interim January goals that I'm so pleased. And there was even a FAL finish!
  1. Patching of my favorite jeans so I could wear them again
  2. Quilt Guild Challenge: Made my first quilted postcard for my Mom's Birthday, shhhh, she hasn't opened it yet, she's saving it for the real day. Used my Cricut Maker to make the card backing

  3. Helped Hubby hang my Silk Parasols quilt in the Living Room
  4. Assembled 4 blocks for Guild Opportunity Quilt (to be raffled in September)
  5. Completed first 4 blocks of Carolina Moore's Cricut Maker Block of the Week, the Sequel

  6. Posted 2020 Q1 Finish A Long list to both IG & here on the blog
  7. Quilt Guild Challenge Name Tag (Finish-A-Long and One Monthly Goal finish)
  8. Quilt Guild Workshop: Annie McHugs' Picture Window Reverse Applique Tool using My and My Sister's Frolic fabric line started a new project. Also made more progress during other Quilt Guild open sew.
  9. Quilt Guild BOM: Made 3 blocks. Target is 16 blocks before the end of October to complete the quilt before the end of the year, no additional UFO's

  10. Made a custom phone pouch for Hubby when he is riding our Trike around the neighborhood
  11. Patterns By Jen 2020 Color Challenge BOM started:
    1. Cut all 12 blocks backgrounds in Kona Navy
    2. Cut yellow January to go with Navy
    3. Assembled yellow January block and posted to Link-Up
    4. Started pressing Kona Oyster for 2nd set of blocks
    5. Picked out the yellow for the January block

What have you been up to in January?

    1. Yes, Trixie certainly kept up the prodding being in excellent shape after Sticky-Prod-Along 2019! It's been so much fun.
