What are the updates on my plans for 2021?

Purpose: Love of fun sewing and other projects!!!

First, I've decided to participate in 2 paid BOM's both through Pink Door Fabrics:

  1. Smitten - English Paper Piecing using Heather Ross' Malibu fabric line. I LOVE Heather's Trixie line and have made the Trixie doll, but still have yet to finish her companion Thomas
    1. STATUS: separated paper pieces for each block, separated fabrics to align with the blocks, decided to try my hand at a practice EPP piece so have gotten the gluing done, but that's it. Will use the Flat Back stitch first.

  2. Nebula - Jaybird Quilts has designed the pattern and using Tula Pink fabrics
    1. STATUS: collecting the monthly block packages, still working on the Journey to Nebula projects to practice using the templates
AND for the BYOF (bring your own fabric) BOM Patterns By Jen's 2021 Color Challenge  I've kept up with each month including making a 2" square for one of my littlest girl mouselet, Lil'Trixie.

Checking out Lil'Trixie's first 6 months blocks with Lady Kate and sewist, Gracie:

My little Wool.I.Am gang has grown, check out Instagram for the many #wooliamgang members and adventures around the globe.

Last to arrive, Lenny and Henry had a warm homecoming welcome!

The gents in our gang. SirT, Lenny, Henry, Quartzy, hAPi, Horsey, 3 Kinder Happy Hippos and Sir Hare-y:

The Ladies of our gang, Sunny, Gracie (sewing), Lady Hare-yetta, Trixie, Lil’Trixie, Lady Kate (housekeeping), Telephone Kinder Happy Hippo and Nellie (Personal Assistant).

Everypawdy back in the Living room (Horsey is a little bit too big). The youngsters are getting to know each other over toys and storybooks. Sweethearts SirT and Lady Kate are holding hands, how adorable. And our sweet Gracie and Lenny are definitely getting along and seem interested. We shall see how things progress.

That's 18 little friends now whereas at the beginning of 2021 there were only 12. Luckily they are a happy mischief and easy to live with.

More adventures and sewing later. "Say Goodnight, Gracie!"

  1. It's so easy to over look the progress we make over the months. Love your Wooly gang. They are so fun and cute. Wishing you a equally successful second half of the year. For some reason the last half of the year seems to go much faster then the first half.

    1. Thank you so much, Kate! I'm so pleased to be able to have these blog posts to track my progress and see all your progress as well. Just watching others chip away at a project is very inspiring.

    1. Thanks, Yvonne! Seeing that monthly progress sure does help. This year's block set is for a quilt for myself. The last one I made for my birthday in 2020 is a little short for snuggling under while watching TV so I'm looking forward to finishing another one for myself.
