15 Minutes To Stitch 2021 - Weeks 27 & 28
I loved participating in Kate's Life in Pieces 15 Minutes to Stitch since 2020 and am a fan of her blog. She's continuously hosted since 2011!
My 2021 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year.
- Week 27: 7 of 7 = 100 %
- 119 minutes/day average across 7-days
- Week 28: 6 of 7 = 86 %
- 77 minutes/day average across 7-days
- June: 27 of 30 = 90 %
- July: 10 of 11 = 91%
- 2021: 166 of 192 = 86 %
The past two weeks I've been coping with working hard mentally during the day by just sewing at night. No time for blog posts, just sit down and sew. Or press and cut. Still working with the dogs and seeing benefits with Nigel Reed's "The Dog Guardian" method detailed in his online course for Aggressive and Nervous dogs.
On the sewing front, I'm trying to keep everything moving forward and meeting my own deadlines.
So, how did the sewing go?
Top items with progress:
1) Cheerful quilt remaining 12 blocks progress towards completion:
No pictures yet as the 4 newly completed blocks are yet to be pressed and attached to the design wall.
8 finished blocks still pinned to the design wall, waiting for the remaining 12 to then assemble the quilt top:
2) Downloaded July Patterns By Jen 2021 Color Challenge for the standard 12" and 6" blocks. Need to design my custom 2", I use EQ8.
3) Geo Grid Quilt guild exchange blocks are all completed:
4) Kinship Fusion Sampler starting July 1st 100 Days 100 Blocks 2021, several blocks are done:

You've done well at finding time to move your projects along. The Kinship Fusion block are really bright and fun. Sometimes you have to take a bloggy break and just focus on the stitching when life is really busy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kate. Your encouragement is greatly appreciated. I think this trend will continue until my next week of vacation, which may or may not be in July based on the biggest project to which I am assigned. I'm enjoying the creativity of the Kinship Fusion blocks as a break from everything else.
