15 Minutes To Stitch 2020 - Weeks 37 & 38

I loved participating in Kate's Life in Pieces 15 Minutes to Stitch in 2019 and am a fan of her blog. She's hosting again for 2020

My 2020 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year.
  • Week 37: 5 of 7 = 71 %
    • 63 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 38: 4 of 7 = 57 %
    • 46 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • September: 14 of 20 = 70 %
  • 2020: 240 of 264 = 83 %
Last weekend, the end of the 37th week, we were missing internet at home. The Sprinkler Repair guys shoveled thru the line. The internet was fixed Monday night and made the rest of the week much better.
That was plenty exciting and for the first 2-hours of work on Monday, the pups and I drove over to a Starbucks parking lot and used their WiFi. Hubby came by and walked the dogs to give them a break and take his coffee break.

In the health news, I'm loving the Breath info by James Nestor in his book. I've made changes and had a better experience with my nasal breathing, sleeping and workout recovery.

Sewing progress includes this picture of the 8 blocks of the Easy Breezy blocks as part of Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville 2020 Leader/Ender Challenge started July 1. It's overcast here in Florida for the second day in a row so not great light.

Got done the new phone pouch for dog walking:

And the 6 fabric face filters for myself, a co-worker, and my trainer at the gym:

Progress is being made on the September One Monthly Goal: completing the Bandanna and Jeans quilt, my oldest UFO from 2015. The center diagonal line of red Bandannas has been sewn.

Old photo of all the bandannas sewn together:

We have moved since this photo of the Bandannas sewn was taken. When I pulled out the Bandannas and Osky got a sniff he started barking at it. It does smell a little musty and will need a wash when it's all done. It could also be that it smells like Tux, our first Whippet, who Osky never met.

How has your week been?

Project Plans in motion:
  1. Finish UFO Bandannas and Jeans quilt (FAL #29)
  2. Make 2 items for Gift Exchange
  3. Make 3 Cafe Press 3-yard quilts for friends during the COVID-19 home-bound (FAL #56, 121, and; 122)
  4. QuiltSmart Midi Bag - Sandscapes (FAL #93)
What are you working on?

  1. Masks, pouches and quilts, you had a pretty productive week last week. Hope this week was as good. Great metrics on the stitching time this year, you've exceeded your goal, which has to feel good.
