15 Minutes To Stitch 2020 - Week 26

I loved participating in Kate's Life in Pieces 15 Minutes to Stitch in 2019 and am a fan of her blog. She's hosting again for 2020

My 2020 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year.
  • Week 26: 7 of 7 = 100 %
    • 121 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • June: 26 of 28 = 93 %
  • 2020: 157 of 180 = 87 %
One of the best days in the last week was the evening of June 24th when Mancuso sent out a promotional email where my 2018 silk quilt, Parasols was featured:

For the rest of the week, I decided that I needed to finish my One Monthly Goal of catching up on quilt blocks before the last 2.5 days of work before Staycation. I am looking forward to the days off, but have so many possible things to work on. I'm twisting under the weight of having to choose where to start!

Work is still going strong, but with 1 project turned over to the Client Support team I am feeling a little more free. Of course when I return, 4 projects will be starting up again so it's a bit of a challenge. Luckily, I will have some help for some of these. It's going to be exciting, new protocols that my colleges and I have determined to make things go smoother with 2 of the projects.

And the puppy is a challenge, he's so high energy and the 3 of us old folks (me, hubby, and the 9 year old dog) are 'not'. We are all adapting and coping as best we can.

Had some fun this week with buying another quilt kit, Kustom Kwilts' Cabin Fever Tula Pink solids, [I am a sucker for Pinkerville Fairy Dust in Cotton Candy] plus backing and binding fabric and batiks for the Patterns by Jen 2020 Monthly Color Challenge.

And to wrap up the weekend, had a great Zoom Quilt Guild call and was able to press and cut the 20 Ten Inch Squares of Orange batik for the other Guild Exchange, catch-up color from April. Still need to get 3 colors 1.5 yards pressed and cut.

  1. Very cool to have one of your projects featured in a promotion! Congrats on finding time to stitch, you've really done well this year. Enjoy the rest of staycation. We have one planned for next week. But I've got two long days at work to get through first.
