15 Minutes To Stitch 2020 - Week 25

I loved participating in Kate's Life in Pieces 15 Minutes to Stitch in 2019 and am a fan of her blog. She's hosting again for 2020

My 2020 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year.
  • Week 24: 6 of 7 = 86 %
    • 47 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 25: 7 of 7 = 100 %
    • 59 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • June: 19 of 21 = 90 %
  • 2020: 150 of 173 = 87 %
With all the work emails and communications and getting ready to lead another training, I haven't felt like blogging. And with all the secret sewing, it was hard to be excited about my projects when I couldn't share what was immediately working. This post is now for 2 weeks and the fun I have been having.

No more secret sewing for the time being, let's review some fun things finished in the last 2-weeks.

Finished Tula Pink Bumble Mug Rug from a 2016 Free Motion Quilting test piece by squaring up and adding binding.

Finished my iPhone pouch with cross body strap, see Post Here

Took a photo of the swap item received which was ironically made with Heather Ross' Trixie Fabric line. This hand sewing station has different items on all 3 sides and it sits nicely on the end-table next to my chair. Here are Sunny and Trixie showing it off. I LOVE IT!!!

Participated in MisterDomesticFundraiser as a winning bidder sending funds to two different organizations: Equal Justice Initiative and The Okra Project's The Nina Pop Mental Health Recovery Fund because Black Lives Matter!!!

Woke up one morning to find a baby bird scared stiff under the edge of the fence so had to defend baby when the dogs had to come out to relieve themselves.

Set up photos for Grandmother's 102nd Birthday and Osky-puppy made things interesting where Kipper was PERFECT as usual!

Then had ideas on how to put together the Thomas Play Tent from the Heather Ross Trixie Panel so that it would stand up. Luckily, hubby went out to the store and found 12" skewers to provide structure for the #WooliamGangGoCamping trip.

The sewing on the interior is glow in the dark thread. Both the ribs lines and a few little basting 'stars'

And Trixie could not be left out of the Mousopolitan magazine hottest new trend DUNGAREES!!! Her's are short for the mild weather here in Florida.

To finish out the weekend, selected blue fabric for the Patterns by Jen 2020 Color Challenge both my backgrounds: Oyster and Navy:

With the AQS Dancing Ribbons sew-a-long, I decided to join in the paper piecing adventure. You can read about it, get the free pattern, and link to the fabric selection post HERE.

Getting used to living in Florida has been fun. It's our first full Hurricane Season. Our morning walks are now usually foggy and muggy, but I am loving every day.

This photo is looking back at our house from down the block during one of our morning walks.

  1. You've been really busy and productive. Love the tent and Trixie's new outfit. When we lived along the Texas coast, I really hated the start of hurricane season. We too are looking forward to some time off over the 4th of July holiday. A staycation is our plan as well. Have a great week.
