2019 Finish-A-Long Q3 Proposed Projects

House has been sold and the move out is less than 3-weeks away. No time for sewing right now. I expect that Hand-sewing may resume once the house sale finishes and we move 3-days across the country. We will live in a hotel suite with kitchenette while our house purchase goes through and we wait for our furniture to arrive.

My sewing things are in 2 groupings, the first group is what I have available to work on and will be easier to get my hands on. The second group is already in boxes and will be taken by a large moving company so they are not easy to access. I'm going to keep all the UFO's from the second group on the list just in case things change.

If you want to join in, head over to one of the hosts blogs, Marci Girl Designs is one, to review the rules.

Every project ever on one of my FAL lists (2018 & 2019) is now included until the project is completed or abandoned. With 60 entries, I am joining the #ridiculouslylongFALlist gang. If I can make progress on any of these, I'll be happy.

Anything already in labeled moving boxes has those references reflected in the titles below in parenthesis. EDITED TO ADD MORE BOX#'S

Easier Available  Hand Sewing Projects

1 - March 23, 2019 - Moda Matchboxes Quilt from Kits (Hand Sewing Bag & Red Rolling Sewing Machine Bag)

The hand-sewing project is to take all 9 Moda Matchbox Quilt Kits and create a Quilt-As-You-Go wall hanging. I've never hand pieced or hand quilted before so this is a learning experience. Watched several of Simple. Handmade. Everyday. Kristin Esser's YouTube Videos after following her and Patty Dudek of Elm Street QuiltsHand Pieced QAL which started in January 2019. I LOVE Patty's rainbow colored sample.
9 Kits lined up when they arrived

    1. Thanks so much, Kate. It is going to be busy. I am hoping that with a new sewing room in the new home will help me organize, focus, and start finishing projects that I have started since so many are UFO's. I don't want to keep abandoning projects anymore.

  4. I love how you know the box numbers for most of these projects...how organized! I hope that the move is progressing smoothly - one coast to the other? The little match box quilts are very sweet and will make a lovely wall hanging...perhaps for a new sewing space? Good luck on it all! On behalf of all of the global hosts, thanks for participating in the FAL!

    1. Thanks, Lynne. I've just printed out the labels for box 190. Hopefully we finish boxing soon since we have to be prepared for the movers in 8-days. Same coast, but from North to South. Yes, I'm getting a big room for my office and creating space in the new house. I'm sew excited. Fingers are crossed that everything goes smoothly. Looking forward to catching up with everyone again in a couple months.
