April 2023 Furtle - Fettle Those Finishes Update

April Review / Furtle

Archie The Wonder Dog

As defined by Mini Archie, ‘Furtling’ means ‘having a rummage, a delve, a look at the contents of something’. So I have furtled around to see what I have been doing this month and now I’m going to furtle around the blogs of anyone else who links up over at Archie the Wonder Dog!

-Janine at Rainbow Hare on 2/28/2019

To socialize with my online crafty friends I'm linking up with Mini-Archie, one of my favorite online personalities, and his person for the monthly progress link-up from Fettle Those Finishes!

I'm posting my weekly/monthly stats here for linking up once a month with Kate at Life In Pieces. My 2023 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year, same as 2021 and 2022.
  • Week 14: 7 of 7 = 100 %
    • 96 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 15: 6 of 7 = 86 %
    • 94 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 16: 7 of 7 = 100 %
    • 61 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 17: 7 of 7 = 100 %
    • 83 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 18: 5 of 5 = 100 %
    • 63 minutes/day average across 5-days
  • April 29 of 30 = 97%
  • 2023: 117 of 120 = 98%
April had reduced sewing times across most weeks. Mr. Hubby Bear's surgery went smoothly but took lots of extra time for care as expected which meant less sewing. Then Osky (3-year old Whippet) got some bite or sting between his toes and came up lame. After 1.5-weeks he is still limping a bit. We are trying to take it easy but he must be controlled on leash most of the time outside. It was a very stressful month. Work has also been more intense.

I have continued stretching and feel less pain since the January Stretching seminar with Joe Hippensteel of Ultimate Human Performance. I highly recommend his training (even from the videos) for anyone who wants to keep themselves limber and even get more flexible.

I still did spend time sewing. How did sewing go?
