One Monthly Goal - June 2026 Proposed
June is here! Time to set a new One Monthly Goal, if you want to check it out head over:
For June there are 3 milestones that I want to make progress on. If I finish any of the 3, my OMG will be successfully completed. The Major project at the sewing machine is to complete the Yellow quilting lines in the Miniature quilt to submit to the QuiltFestJax show in September. The two hand-sewing projects are Block 7A in Smitten2 and the January sampler page for the Embroidery 101 Homework.
Option 1: Yellow Quilting Lines
This quilt is the smallest version from a Deb Tucker’s Studio 180 pattern, Tumbling Triangles. I’d been wanting to make this pattern for 9-years since my first guild had a class that I couldn’t attend in June of 2017. The flimsy was my April OMG and I even got the quilting started that month. While I worked on the yellow quilting lines all May including Memorial day weekend, that's still not finished. Probably because I didn't like the look of yellow traveling lines and made every vertical line segment thread ends buried under the blue fabric next to it. Since the quilting plan includes 3 phases, Yellow straight lines, Blue Tumbling Triangles and Blue straight lines and each Phase includes both stitching and thread burying, it's a bigger job than I envisioned.

Quilting Plan (Dry Erase Marker on Vinyl shower curtain):
Miniature Tumbling Triangles is 2026 Project 6 in progress for 53-hours and 38-minutes estimated to be 72% complete.
Option 2: Smitten2 Block 7A
Moon Garden Smitten2 (2026 UFO 7): Block 7A is more than half assembled. Pink Door Fabrics’ Moon Garden Smitten 2 is 2026 UFO 7, Month 6 in progress for 41-hours and 47-minutes and Month 7 in progress for 13-hours and 56-minutes out of 262-hours and 21-minutes on the entire quilt top.
Option 3: Embroidery 101 January (2025) Sampler Page
Last month the Couched Alphabet sampler page was completed so I'll try and finish the January page next. None of the other month pages have been started yet. 2025 Embroidery 101 Sampler Book is 2026 UFO 53 with the January page in progress for 4-hours and 49-minutes out of the 17-hours and 55-minutes spent on the entire Embroidery 101 class so far.
I was feeling less confident when I started this page so I chose a muted thread to match closer to alleviate my nerves.
What are you working on in June 2026?
