November 2025 Furtle - Fettle Those Finishes Update

November Review / Furtle

Archie The Wonder Dog

As defined by Mini Archie, ‘Furtling’ means ‘having a rummage, a delve, a look at the contents of something’. So I have furtled around to see what I have been doing this month and now I’m going to furtle around the blogs of anyone else who links up over at Archie the Wonder Dog!

To socialize with my online crafty friends I'm linking up with Mini-Archie, one of my favorite online personalities, and his person for the monthly progress link-up from Fettle Those Finishes!

Continuing weekly stats here for possibly linking up once a month with Kate at Life In Pieces. My 2021-2024 goal was to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year. Now, the goal is any number of minutes in a day for 50% of the year since the puppy is still under 2-years old he's a handful and I want as much time with him to enjoy our time together.
  • Week 447 of 7 = 100 %
    • 29 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 455 of 7 = 71 %
    • 50 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 466 of 7 = 86 %
    • 79 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 474 of 7 = 57 %
    • 19 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 487 of 7 = 100 %
    • 65 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • November 24 of 30 = 80 %
  • 2025: 273 of 334 = 82 %
November has been an interesting month. The puppy is full sized and moderately energetic. We have started using Susan Garrett's Dogs That training "Home School The Dog" program and we're starting from scratch in our games. We continue to enjoy playing Frisbee in the yard multiple times per day. I'm still working on the best possible posture and body position I can. I'm enjoying the weekly gym sessions and PT to remove the facial adhesions that limit my movement.

Sewing continues to be my solace. Focus continues slowly on my projects planned in 2025 see my Furtle planning post HERE.

Projects Half Done Progress update:

There were 52 projects already started before January 1, 2025 (up from 46 in 2024). The below screenshot of my projects from the spreadsheet provided (and a little expanded) by QuiltingGail is my 'official' list with reference numbers used throughout the year.

As of November 30th, 17 projects have been completed (Blue Highlight), 2 UFO's and 15 new projects. 8 projects completed in November (Green Highlight on completion Date), 0 UFO's and 8 new projects. 5 projects progressed in November (Pink Highlight), 3 from UFO's and 2 new projects.

How did sewing go?

November Projects Completed:

1) Fourth Iteration with snaps of a custom Flute Case Cover for Mr. Hubby Bear is 2025 Project 20 completed (all iterations) in 15-hours and 58-minutes.

2) Organized Main Fabric Stash with all the folded fabric on Comic Book Boards with clips on the top 2 shelves of the cabinet as 2025 Project 21, completed in 7-hours and 45-minutes.

3 - 8) Honeybee Quilters 2025 Elfin Magic workshop 5 projects completed in 13-hours and 44-minutes. I did cancel the 6th project as it wasn't working out for me; the supplies are now in my stash and I'm counting that as 'Completed'.

November Projects Progressed:

1Moon Garden Smitten2 (2025 UFO 7): Block 6C progress, working on adding the final round of 6 striped diamonds. Pink Door Fabrics’ Moon Garden Smitten 2 is 2025 UFO 7, Month 6 in progress for 22-hours and 24-minutes out of 235-hours and 48-minutes on the entire quilt top.

2) Easy Breezy twin size, Quiltville's 2020 Leader/Ender pattern (2025 UFO 4) - now have 103 blocks of the 180 needed for UFO, 106 blocks will be done when the kits at the sewing machine are completed. A tracking spreadsheet has been created for all the elements needed to assemble the top and figured it's 57% complete.

3) Jacksonville Modern Quilt Guild had a meeting with a hand stitch quilting presentation. Each participant received a little kit to make a quilted panel to possibly turn into a zipper pouch. I pulled out some additional golden thread to create this panel. I’m expecting to make it into a Perfect Pouch by Lazy Girl Designs once I pick out the zipper and front panel fabrics and get a little more time between working on other projects. Big Stitch Sample Pouch is 2025 Project 17 in progress for 3-hours and 1-minute.

4) From the Honeybees 2024 Elfin Magic there were 2 projects that I hadn't even started yet. They are on my UFO list for the Jacksonville Modern Quilt Guild due in December so I finally got started on the first of these remaining projects. 2024 HB Elfin Magic projects are 2025 UFO 46 in progress for 0-hours and 42-minutes.

5) In December, the Honeybees Quilt Guild will be having a workshop to assemble the By Annie pattern Pack It In 2.0. I purchased a kit back in 2022 from Renaissance Ribbons. I got the pattern and supplies out started photocopying the pattern so I could write on it. Renaissance Ribbons By Annie Pack It In 2.0 Kit is 2025 Project 28 in progress for 0-hours and 15-minutes.

November Stats:

  • 8 Completed
  • 5 Progressed
  • 50 UFO's remaining
  • 7 2025 started projects remaining
What did you get done in November?
