July Review / Furtle
As defined by Mini Archie, ‘Furtling’ means ‘having a rummage, a delve, a look at the contents of something’. So I have furtled around to see what I have been doing this month and now I’m going to furtle around the blogs of anyone else who links up over at Archie the Wonder Dog!

To socialize with my online crafty friends I'm linking up with Mini-Archie, one of my favorite online personalities, and his person for the monthly progress link-up from
Fettle Those Finishes!
I'm posting my weekly/monthly stats here for linking up once a month with Kate at Life In Pieces. My 2023 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year, same as 2021 and 2022.
- Week 27: 5 of 7 = 71 %
- 42 minutes/day average across 7-days
- Week 28: 6 of 7 = 86 %
- 86 minutes/day average across 7-days
- Week 29: 7 of 7 = 86 %
- 86 minutes/day average across 7-days
- Week 30: 7 of 7 = 100 %
- 97 minutes/day average across 7-days
- Week 31: 1 of 1 = 100 %
- 15 minutes/day average across 5-days
- July 30 of 31 = 97%
- 2023: 201 of 212 = 95%
July has been so busy. Preparations for the Quilt Guild Party on August 1st where I am the committee chair. Work has started up with an extra project for a demanding client.
It was a very stressful month but I am anticipating more focus on one project at a time and reducing the number of guild challenges that I participate in going forward so I can work on more of my own projects.
I have started a new stretching protocol for focusing on Facia rather than muscles. This
YouTube by an Olympic coach has reduced my hip, knee and foot facia pain just by stretching 15-20 minutes/day. For my health, I have also reinstated my following the Menopause Reset by Dr. Mindy Pelz.
I still did spend time sewing. How did sewing go?

In a busy month of work and guild commitments, you’ve somehow managed loads of sewing too. The Smitten blocks are looking wonderful and I love the way you’re sewing them into the top as you go rather than saving it for the end - you’ll have a finished top very soon after you finish the final block! Thanks for Furtling!
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much! I feel like the blocks would be lonely without being stitched in when done. It's also the hardest part to sew flat back stitch with big pieces so I love getting it done sooner rather than later. Thank you for hosting the friends Furtle!!!
