PHD in 2023: May
Fifth 2023 check-in with QuiltingGail to work on my list of Projects Half Done (PHD).
There were 46 projects already started before January 1, 2023. The below screenshot of my projects from the spreadsheet provided (and a little expanded) by QuiltingGail is my 'official' list with reference numbers that I will use throughout the year.
As of May 31st, 2 UFO's are complete (Blue Highlight). One more UFO's has been progressed (Pink Highlight) this month.
Out of the 32 starts in 2023, 26 have been completed (Blue Highlight). Four of the other six projects have been progressed (Pink Highlight). Please note that the BOM that started in January 2023 will have each month added as a separate entry.
May Projects Completed:
1) Honeybees 2023 April Challenge, mini quilt for QuiltFest Silent Auction Fundraiser (2023 Project 19):
Penguin Portraits
2) Honeybees class to make QuiltSmart Midi Bag (2023 Project #22):
Artisan Spirit's Sandscapes Blush-Violet Metallic Chips fabric was purchased January 12, 2018 for this project.
3) JAX MQG Iron Caddy from class (2023 Project 25):
4) JAX MQG 2 Green Triangle Donation Blocks (2023 Project 27):
The guild is making a shapes quilt inspired by a piece of fabric our President Candi picked up. Navy blue is the same backing in all blocks and Candi provided instructions for Triangle and this vivid green that I LOVE!!!
5) JAX MQG 8.5" Donation 'Candy' Block (2023 Project 28):
The guild is making children's quilts from the blocks brought in by members all with provided strips of fabric and filled out by out own stash.
Wow, you've had a lot of starts in 2023 with finishes!! Fantastic progress.

DeleteYou were busy last month, for sure! I made an iron caddy a while back. They're very nice, especially if you retreat or take classes. What a beautiful bag you made too. It's very restful-looking. Hope your June is going as well as May did!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Susie! I'm loving the new bag and now using it for my purse. I'm enjoying June and making progress on a UFO. Hope you are enjoying making in June!!!
