One Monthly Goal - November 2026 Proposed
November is starting and it's time to set a new One Monthly Goal, if you want to check it out head over:
For November, I'm going to again set 3 goals and will count as a success if any of them are completed. First option, finish 4 Pillowcases, 2 for home and 2 for donation. Second, baste enough of the EPP Clamshells to have 15 or less unbasted. Third, make progress on the Quilting in Negative Spaces workshop sample.
Goal 1: Finish 4 Pillowcases
Two Thanksgiving Holiday Pillowcases for the household are well underway with the fabrics pressed and cut then the cuffs sewn. I will use the French Seam method and have found that pressing that seam open turns much more easily in my hands. 2 Thanksgiving Pillowcases are 2026 Project 27 in progress for 1-hour and 49-minutes.
One of my Guild Sisters provided Pillowcase Kits for the Cases for Smiles program. I picked up 2 kits on Tuesday night to be collected at the early December meeting. 2 December Donation Pillowcases are 2026 Project 31 and they are ready to get started.
Goal 2: Baste EPP Clamshells to have less than 15 remaining
One of the Priority Projects on the pressing station include is the PaperPieces.com's Happy as a Clamshell kit with EPP shapes of half-circles and clamshells. There is a basting station setup and all 8 Half-Circles have been basted. Also 8 of the 34 (24%) Clamshells have been basted. I am trying to keep myself moving forward since this basting is a little more intense than sewing straight lines so I need a little OMG. So, for the end of November I want to try to baste at least one Clamshell every other day. That would mean at least 19 Clamshells basted is the target. Happy As A Clamshell is 2026 Project 15 in progress for 7-hours and 49-minutes.
Goal 3: Make progress on the Quilting in Negative Spaces sample
Following the Nina Clotfelter workshop "Quilting in Negative Spaces" I have a plan to finish my sample. It was time for my machine's annual service so I left my Ruler-work enabled machine at the workshop location with the expectation of getting it back the next weekend. I will need to finish the Rulerwork part and then start the Free Motion Quilting. Quilting in Negative Spaces Sample is 2026 Project 28 progressed in 14-hours and 4-minutes.
Second quilting plan from the class is my favorite.
What are you working on in November 2026?
