One Monthly Goal - July 2026 Proposed
July is here! Time to set a new One Monthly Goal, if you want to check it out head over:
For July there are 3 milestones that I want to make progress on. If I finish any of the 3, my OMG will be successfully completed. The Major project at the sewing machine is to complete the Tiny Tumbling Triangles, the Miniature quilt to submit to the QuiltFestJax show in September. The two hand-sewing projects are attaching Block 7A into Smitten2 and the January sampler page for the Embroidery 101 Homework.
Option 1: Tiny Tumbling Triangles
This quilt is the smallest version from a Deb Tucker’s Studio 180 pattern, Tumbling Triangles. I’d been wanting to make this pattern for 9-years since my first guild had a class that I couldn’t attend in June of 2017. Final steps include adding the binding using a mitered corner color transition so that the yellow sides have yellow binding and the blue sides have blue binding.
Miniature Tumbling Triangles is 2026 Project 6 in progress for 73-hours and 8-minutes estimated to be 88% complete.
Option 2: Smitten2 Block 7A
Moon Garden Smitten2 (2026 UFO 7): Block 7A has been completed and is ready to attach to the flimsy. After 7A is attached, Setting Triangle 6A can also be attached. I prefer to add the triangles once both blocks they attach to are on the quilt. Pink Door Fabrics’ Moon Garden Smitten 2 is 2026 UFO 7, Month 6 in progress for 41-hours and 47-minutes and Month 7 in progress for 19-hours and 9-minutes out of 267-hours and 34-minutes on the entire quilt top.
Option 3: Embroidery 101 January (2025) Sampler Page
I'll try and finish the January page for the next quilt guild meeting to be my UFO challenge items this month. For OMG, I would also like to start the February page. 2025 Embroidery 101 Sampler Book is 2026 UFO 53 with the January page in progress for 6-hours and 59-minutes out of the 20-hours and 5-minutes spent on the entire Embroidery 101 class so far.
I was feeling less confident when I started this page so I chose a muted thread to match closer to alleviate my nerves.
What are you working on in June 2026?
