June 2023 Furtle - Fettle Those Finishes Update

June Review / Furtle

Archie The Wonder Dog

As defined by Mini Archie, ‘Furtling’ means ‘having a rummage, a delve, a look at the contents of something’. So I have furtled around to see what I have been doing this month and now I’m going to furtle around the blogs of anyone else who links up over at Archie the Wonder Dog!

To socialize with my online crafty friends I'm linking up with Mini-Archie, one of my favorite online personalities, and his person for the monthly progress link-up from Fettle Those Finishes!

I'm posting my weekly/monthly stats here for linking up once a month with Kate at Life In Pieces. My 2023 goal is to stitch at least 15-minutes 50% of the days in the year, same as 2021 and 2022.
  • Week 23: 6 of 7 = 86 %
    • 83 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 24: 6 of 7 = 86 %
    • 75 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 25: 6 of 7 = 86 %
    • 95 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 26: 7 of 7 = 100 %
    • 98 minutes/day average across 7-days
  • Week 27: 3 of 5 = 60 %
    • 18 minutes/day average across 5-days
  • June 25 of 30 = 83%
  • 2023: 171 of 181 = 94%
June has been so busy. Dog corns after getting the first one handled that made him lame, found one on the other front paw. Then I had my own foot issues including a shot to eliminate inflammation. And then a strained calf had my workouts for the lower body reduced.

It was a very stressful month but I am making progress with appreciated my life just as it is.

I have continued stretching and feel less pain since the January Stretching seminar with Joe Hippensteel of Ultimate Human Performance. I highly recommend his training (even from the videos) for anyone who wants to keep themselves limber and even get more flexible.

I still did spend time sewing. How did sewing go?

    1. Thank you, Kate. The mailbox cover is my own design. I drafted it from the shape of the mailbox. This year, I looked at where the rusty sprinkler water was coming through the seams and based the old cover together to be a pattern to reduce seams on the spraying side. It is working much better. Wishing you lots of July crafting!!!
