2019 Finish-A-Long Q2 Proposed Projects

Hand-sewing is continuing to be the only method of crafting at the start of the second Quarter of 2019. I'm going to keep all the UFO's on the list just in case things change. Still waiting for the buyer for our home to show up so we can find a new home across the country.

If you want to join in, head over to one of the hosts blogs, Marci Girl Designs is one, to review the rules.

Every project ever on one of my FAL lists (2018 & 2019) is now included until the project is completed or abandoned. With 39 entries, I am joining the #ridiculouslylongFALlist gang. If I can make progress on #1, I'll be happy with myself.

While almost everything for sewing is in labeled moving boxes, those references are reflected in the titles below in parenthesis.

Hand Sewing:

1 - March 23, 2019 - Moda Matchboxes Quilt from Kits (RedRollingBag-part)

The hand-sewing project is to take all 9 Moda Matchbox Quilt Kits and create a Quilt-As-You-Go wall hanging. I've never hand pieced or hand quilted before so this is a learning experience. Watched several of Simple. Handmade. Everyday. Kristin Esser's YouTube Videos after following her and Patty Dudek of Elm Street QuiltsHand Pieced QAL which started in January 2019. I LOVE Patty's rainbow colored sample.
9 Kits lined up when they arrived

  1. Welcome to the #ridiculouslylongFALlist gang! Your hand piecing looks as though it's going well (I'm enjoying seeing your updates on Instagram, I maybe should have mentioned that on one of them!) and I hope the buyer turns up soon so you can get on with the move and dig your wips and sewing machine out of the packing boxes/storage. Good luck with it all!
