2026 Fettle Those Finishes proposal

2026 Fettle Those Finishes proposal

I'm linking up with one of my favorite online personalities Mini Archie the Wonder Dog and his wonderful person, Helen, to plan the top priority projects for 2025. We're sharing our lists and encouraging each other on the monthly Linky parties.

If you'd like to join in, please do so at the 2026 Fettle Those Finishes! blog post.

FYI: This post was authored on January 1st so status has changed by the time the Linky Party became available.

This year, I'm taking into consideration several things I've learned about myself and project focus. I'm only going to pick 5 projects at a time to be on a new focus list. As each item is finished or paused, I will re-evaluate the list. I'm still taking a lot of care of young dog, Wiki and continuing care for sick 6-year old dog, Osky. And of course my full-time job in the Financial Services field.

Current (January 1st) Focus5:

  1. Renaissance Ribbons' By Annie Zip It Up Kit from Tula Pink's Moon Garden
  2. Smitten2 EPP Kit by Pink Door Fabrics
  3. Embroidery 101 Stitch Book
  4. Alchemy EPP Kit by Pink Door Fabrics
  5. Easy Breezy Twin

As is now the habit, the annual list contains 53 UFO items that were started before 2026 with fabric cutting at the very least. This is only up 1 from 2025.

Here's the fresh and clean January 1st version of the 2026 tracker with the UFO list:

That's my 2026 plan for now. I love watching the evolution of my crafting journey.

  1. Choosing five to focus on each month is a great idea, gives you flexibility and choice but not so much choice you get overwhelmed. Thanks for joining in for another year and good luck!

  2. Breaking it down this way, respecting the time and energy you have available is a great way to approach these projects. Caring and/or training takes a different kind of energy, and I hope these creative moments bring you some balance. All the best with your list!
